NBDRA IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE its Fourth RECREATIONAL EVENT OF 2023.

Welcome to NBDRA's fourth recreational ride going to the Serpentine Lake area. This year we have Joel Frigault, our very own NBDRA member, plan the route to be the ride of a lifetime. This ride is oriented for our more experienced adventure riders where your endurance will be tested with a run that is nearly 400km!

Come join us on August 26th for a guided Dual-Sport & Adventure ride.  All riders are required to have the proper registration & insurance to be able to ride on the road. The group will meet at the Atlantic Host located at 1450 Vanier Blvd, Bathurst, New Brunswick E2A 7B7 @ 8am. Kickstand goes up at 8:30am. The day will be filled with great opportunities to enjoy your favourite sport and help build confidence in your riding.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The ride is approximately 416km of mixed riding. There is a minimal amount of pavement that will be used to connect from trail to trail. There is also an option for gas but you must be able to complete around 140-150km between gas options.  (If your motorcycle does not have the appropriate fuel capacity, please make sure to bring additional gas.)

Please expect an average difficulty level that will offer a varied terrain from dirt roads, trails, rocky at times and slippery in certain areas if wet.  There will also be a few more fun / challenging spots where we will make sure no one is left behind. If required, coaching & assistance will be provided. (Those are the ideal moments to improve your skills while not straying to far away from your comfort zone.)

We will ensure that all participants are well guided and will wait at all forks/intersections to ensure the group stays together.

Please note that this ride is better suited for dual-sport motorcycles. It is possible for adventure bikes but would require a high level of comfort.

As this is a fairly long ride, there will be sections where the travel pace will be faster than usual.  Please ensure you are comfortable with this level of riding and the associated risks.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • The ride will be fun for all with a few interesting sites to explore along the way.
  • Arrival will be opened from 7:30am to 8:30am
